Centrify Expands It’s Developer Program to Make it Easier to Add MFA, SSO and Access Control to Apps

Single sign-on, social login, multi-factor authentication (MFA), password reset and access control can now be easily integrated into cloud, mobile and behind the firewall apps from third party developers by integrating Centrify APIs. Application developers are in a modern day wonderland where they can build multifaceted and intricate apps that function across user devices without having to build much computing or coding infrastructure.  It is now taken for granted that developers tap into well known APIs like Twitter, Facebook, Google or eBay to enrich their apps with new layers of context, function and integration. The API economy essentially allows developers to outsource some…

MFA Everywhere Means VPNs Too!

As you’ve probably seen around here, Centrify is excited about our features which enable enterprises to deploy MFA across their enterprise, so that you are fully protected. We’ve been calling this initiative “MFA Everywhere.”  But, what does “everywhere” mean? To me it means protect your data/apps/network with a modern identity perimeter wherever you expose access. Imagine if all the doors to enter your house required keys, except one. That wouldn’t be a very good solution to protecting your home, so make sure you aren’t doing something similar to your network. Remember, half protected, is half not. VPN’s are often overlooked…

How Centrify is Innovating in the Four Biggest Trends in IT… #3 Cloud

In my last two blog posts I discussed how the four top of mind items for CIOs are Big Data, Mobile, Cloud and Security, and how Centrify is innovating in the areas of Big Data and Mobile. In this blog post I will discuss how we are innovating in the Cloud — specifically how we are leading the charge to deliver Identity-as-a-Service with the utmost flexibility to store identity where you want it and also allow remote users to seamlessly access on-premises apps via the Cloud. Cloud Clearly the Cloud market, like the Mobile market, is also growing by leaps…

App Gateway, Secure Remote Access and Single Sign-on to Internal Web Apps

Centrify Identity Service enables you to provide single sign-On (SSO) to both SaaS apps and on-premises apps that use a web interface. On-premises apps are unique in that they sit on the corporate network and are available only to users who are on the network physically, or who have VPN’ed into the network. From a user perspective, firing up a VPN session can be painful and time-consuming (or impossible if using a machine that doesn’t have the requisite VPN client). From an IT perspective, this can be painful in that the user’s device must be enabled with a VPN client. One of…
