We are proud to announce that Centrify has met the requirements and is now an Advanced Partner within the AWS Partner Network. Is this just another Partner announcement or is there something more here?
What This Means for Customers
First, for customers, Centrify becoming an Advanced Technology Partner means that they have been so rigorously tested that AWS personnel can recommend Centrify to AWS customers without reservation. AWS has put Centrify and its products/services through hours of testing and diligence, including talking to customer references, analyzing Centrify’s Identity Services, as well as establishing that Centrify on AWS meets all security best practices.
What This Means for Centrify
For Centrify, this means that we can continue to execute our go-to-market strategy around IaaS by more closely partnering with the runaway leader in the space — AWS. You can expect to see more joint marketing and sales activity between AWS and Centrify beginning with Centrify’s Gold Sponsorship at AWS re:Invent, where Centrify is exhibiting and presenting. The shear mass of people attending re:INVENT (40,000+) and the impressive growth of AWS from any metric (dollars, computing cycles, storage, data centers, etc.) provides a strategic opportunity to Centrify to grow its customer base.
Centrify has committed a lot to this partnership, as many Centrify customers have already begun the migration to AWS leveraging Centrify as a key part of their Identity and security strategy. We expect even more of our customers will move to AWS and ask Centrify to help them migrate — in addition to the many new customers we will obtain from being on the AWS platform, being an Advanced Technology Partner, and being part of the Amazon Marketplace (we will cover this in tomorrow’s blog).
What This Means for AWS
For AWS, the partner ecosystem is a little bigger and a lot better. Centrify is the only AWS partner spanning across all the technologies needed to implement a Zero-Trust Model. Centrify can become AWS’s “go-to” partner for customers wanting to migrate to AWS and implement privileged access security, MFA, SSO, and EMM from Centrify. Furthermore, with Centrify’s position in many of AWS leading enterprise accounts, Centrify is actually in a position to help AWS garner more workloads on its service by helping to make our customers more comfortable with the cloud and managing identity on AWS.
Achieving Advanced status was not easy and it took the work of dozens of people across Centrify and AWS. Thank you to all the customers, employees and partners who helped make this a reality. Now comes the fun part of working with all these groups to help make their cloud dreams a reality.
