Today Gartner released its Magic Quadrant for Identity and Access Management-as-a-Service (“IDaaS”) and we are pleased to note that Centrify has been named a leader by Gartner in this Magic Quadrant (“MQ”). This is the third year in a row we have been included in the Gartner IDaaS MQ*, and we believe placement in the Leaders’ quadrant validates our unique ability to secure access to apps and infrastructure from any device for all users. According to Gartner,

A year of tremendous product innovation and customer success at Centrify is why we believe we have earned this recognition from Gartner. Here are some highlights of innovation we have delivered and success our customers and partners have achieved in the past year:
Password and access management
This year Centrify added cloud-based password and access management solution for today’s hybrid world of servers and network infrastructure deployed in the data center and cloud. Centrify Privilege Service is a new solution to our Identity Platform and complements our Identity Service by going well beyond vaulting of enterprise passwords to provide comprehensive shared account password management (SAPM), secure remote access to infrastructure without a VPN, privileged access request workflow, application-to-application password management (AAPM) and privileged session monitoring (PSM).
Enterprise Mobile Management
Over three years ago, Centrify was the first IDaaS vendor to deliver integrated identity and mobility management. This year we have continued our innovation in merging mobile and identity with the additions of push multi-factor authentication, wearables support, biometric support, mobile TrueSSO and mobile client protection. For Macs we supported El Capitan day one and added native app management and updates, an enterprise app store, and encryption management using FileVault 2. We even added support for Android for Work, Google for Work and even support for Chromebooks.
External user communities
While the primary use case for most business is providing secure access, SSO and self-service to their employees and contractors, there are other user communities that need secure access and SSO including partners, outsourced IT and customers. This past year Centrify added support for B2B and B2C user communities including support for social logins.
Workflow and orchestration
In addition this year, we integrated request and approval workflow to eliminate tedious and error-prone tasks, and reduce the burden on IT. For more complex orchestration, Centrify announced a strategic partnership with ServiceNow and has delivered deep integration with ServiceNow’s IT service management platform.
Multi-Factor Authentication Everywhere initiative
Centrify also recently launched an initiative called MFA Everywhere based on the innovations built and delivered over the past year. Centrify offers one of the industry’s most easy-to-use adaptive MFA solutions that supports all types of enterprise users — including employees, contractors, outsourced IT, partners and customers — across a broad range of enterprise resources — including cloud and on-premises apps, VPNs, network devices, and cloud and on-premises servers. We even support MFA for privilege elevation and checking in/out of passwords.
Customer cases studies
We have also published some impressive customer use cases highlighting the security improvements, cost savings and increased user satisfaction by adopting Centrify. A few samples include:
- Apttus quickly rolled out numerous SaaS app rollouts, self service password reset and Mac and Mobile Management.
- Dynatrace deployed Office 365 in half the time they would have otherwise with ADFS.
- Morris Communications saved tens of thousands in hardware, licenses and helpdesk calls.
