Today Forrester Research released The Forrester Wave™: Identity-As-A-Service, Q4 2017. Evaluating the “seven vendors that matter”, Forrester named Centrify a Leader. Centrify provides the industry’s only single platform to secure each user’s access to apps and infrastructure through the power of identity services. With this recent report from Forrester, Centrify becomes the only identity services provider to be evaluated in and positioned as a leader in both IDaaS and Privileged Identity Management.

For this IDaaS report, Forrester evaluated seven top vendors against over 41 criteria, which were grouped into three categories including current offering, strategy and market presence:

The authors highlight a key use case of IDaaS for secure application access: “In the light of recent high-profile data breaches,” the report states, “it’s imperative to protect application access with stronger passwords and 2FA.”

Centrify received the top score, 5 out of 5, higher than any other vendor in the evaluation, in the “step-up authentication, risk-based policies, multifactor authentication (MFA), and social login criterion.”

“Centrify offers threat analytics, elegant risk dashboards, and flexible access policies. – The Forrester Wave™: Identity-As-A-Service, Q4 2017”

The report also states that “Identity analytics (IA) is one of the most dynamically evolving and improving aspects of today’s IDaaS solutions.”

According to Forrester, Centrify’s “virtual-directory designed solution has extensive access policy protocol support, robust risk dashboards, integrated threat and identity analytics, and intuitive policy management.”

This we know for sure, security is going through an identity crisis, breaches are escalating at an alarming rate and the statistics are clear the most popular attack vector is credentials and/or stolen passwords – and even though security budgets are increasing, there is still only a very small amount being set aside for identity-related security solutions – businesses of all sizes need to rethink security.

The IDaaS Wave report states that IDaaS reduces costs, supports flexibility and improves security. To download the The Forrester Wave™: Identity-As-A-Service, Q4 2017, click here.
